Sit in on an intimate jam session with Orangewood’s new video series, The Duet Show
Watch the first two episodes now, featuring host Drew Taubenfeld trading licks with L.A. guitar ace Horace Bray
We can all agree that playing music on an acoustic guitar is one of the greatest feelings in the world. The only thing that makes it even better? Playing along with another guitarist.
Which is, essentially, the point of The Duet Show, a new online series from Orangewood where we join host Drew Taubenfeld, an experienced player, music director, and touring musician, as he invites his friends and favorite players over for a jam session.
In each episode of The Duet Show, Drew covers interpretations of favorite pop songs, timeless classics, and original tunes.
First up? Ace guitarist, singer, and producer Horace Bray, who joins Drew in Episode 1. Horace, he says, “is a wonderful talent, he has his own music on Spotify, he also has a side project named Felty and he’s playing a lot of gigs and doing production work.”
“He’s someone I’ve seen play a lot, I’ve heard play a lot but have never actually played with. So I’m really excited to play some music.”
And play some music they do, running through a beautiful original composition titled “Waltz in C” on a pair of Orangewood acoustics.
Drew and Horace keep the magic going in Episode 2, where they improvise over an instrumental acoustic arrangement of Ed Sheeran’s pop smash, “Bad Habits.” You can check it out below.
