New offering utilizes 5.8GHz for a less-crowded frequency band, with high-quality audio and super-low latency
We’re big fans of NUX’s impressive B-5RC, a 2.4GHz guitar wireless system, and so we’ve been extra excited for the company’s new C-5RC, a cheap wireless guitar system utilizing 5.8GHz, a newer standard not commonly used among daily devices.

Furthermore, the C-5RC features automatic pairing and simple plug-and-play operations, and has a 100 ft. operation range. There’s also ¼-inch plugs that are compatible with all types of instruments, including electric guitars, electric-acoustic guitars, bass guitars, and keyboards.
One of the features that Colin appreciates? “The wireless comes in a lovely robust carrying case. But this isn’t just a storage solution. The case contains an internal battery to keep the transmitter and receiver topped off and power-ready whenever you need them.”
The transmitter and receiver, he continues, “have a sleek design with very simple operation, with just a single button to turn them on. And they boast a four-hour battery life, which is a long time – especially since you’re going to be charging them between uses in the carrying case.”
Colin’s verdict? The C-5RC is a win. “From my testing, this works as described. The sound quality is indistinguishable from using a cable, I don’t get drop out when I’m playing and I just love the rechargeable case.
