Motley Crue Kick Off 2009 Arena Tour
Mötley Crüe have hit the road on their Saints of Los Angeles 2009 Winter Tour at the Cox Arena in San Diego, CA. The Live Nation produced tour features special guests Hinder, Theory of a Deadman and the Last Vegas. The Last Vegas were chosen from close to 8,000 entrants during November’s Guitar Center On Stage, landing the chance to open for the world’s most notorious rock band. The 29-city trek will move throughout North America, including a date at Madison Square Garden, with the final performance on March 18th in Portland, ME. The Saints of Los Angeles tour will be making stops in markets that the band has not visited for a number of years; their inaugural Crüe Fest was the most successful rock festival of last summer. Tickets for the SOLA tour are currently on sale at livenation.com and motley.com. In this current economic state, the tour offers fans four bands for one low price.
Rock icons Mötley Crüe, whose Saints of Los Angeles album debuted at #1 on the Independent Album chart and was the top debut of the week on the Billboard’s top 200 at #4. In addition, Mötley Crüe is nominated for a Grammy Award at this weekend’s ceremony for Best Hard Rock Performance (Saints of Los Angeles). The prestigious 51st Annual Grammy Awards will be held on “Grammy Sunday,” February 8, 2009, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on CBS from 8 - 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
