Guitar instruction platform Liveonguitar.com announces seminars with Kiko Loureiro, Mike Dawes and Aniello Desiderio
Wide-ranging classes will cover essential electric, acoustic and classical guitar techniques for beginners and advanced players alike
The Athens, Greece-based Halkidonio Conservatory Group has been offering high-level, quality musical studies for 30 years, with seminars, masterclasses and festivals that have welcomed players like Mike Dawes, Aniello Desiderio, Zoran Dukic and others.
Now, the Conservatory is offering a slew of amazing new seminars through its online platform, liveonguitar.com. The instructionals run the gamut from electric to acoustic to classical guitar, and feature a roster of top players in each style.
The electric guitar seminar will be hosted by Megadeth shredder Kiko Loureiro, who will teach technique, composition, career, music analysis and improvisation. The 90-minute seminar will be interactive, with Loureiro, who is also fluent in jazz, rock, fusion, progressive and other styles, answering students’ questions at the end of the session.

Master player Mike Dawes, known for composing, arranging and performing multiple parts simultaneously on a single guitar, will serve as instructor for the acoustic seminar. Dawes is hailed as one of the world’s most creative modern fingerstyle guitarists and was named Best Acoustic Guitarist in the World two years in a row in Total Guitar/MusicRadar readers’ polls.
His group of four seminars, designed for both beginners and advanced students, will take players through original modern fingerstyle music techniques, from using harmonics and alternate tunings to percussive playing, fingerpicking and more.
Dawes’ sessions will take place Friday, November 5, 12, 19 and 26 at 6.00 p.m. EEST. The price for the four-session package is 120€ (approx. $140), and you can book a ticket here.
The classical seminar, meanwhile, will be taught by Aniello Desiderio, one of the biggest names in classical guitar. Performing since the age of eight, Desiderio graduated with honors from the Conservatory of Music in Alessandria and has won 18 first International Awards in both national and international competitions. He will be giving seminar-courses beginning Monday December 1 and every Monday at 7:00 pm (EEST TIME) for the following four weeks.
The following issues will be analyzed in Desiderio’s seminars:
Dec. 1 – How to get the best guitar sound (movements – nails)
Dec. 8 – Right hand guitar technique
Dec. 15 – Left hand guitar technique
Dec. 22 – Open conversation: Questions, Program; Repertoire; Memorization of guitar pieces; Coping with stress on stage; and more
