Let’s be honest: The handy capo may be an essential piece of guitar gear, but it’s hardly the most exciting to look at.
That is, until now.
Meet Kyser's new Kyser x Fender Quick-Change capos, a collaboration that pays homage to some of the guitar company’s famous finishes.
The Classic Colors range boasts colorways most notably associated with Fender’s iconic models from the ‘50s and ‘60s, including Butterscotch Blonde, Daphne Blue, Surf Green and Olympic White, which were recreated through Kyser’s precision ColorMatch Process.
The process involves the recreation of Pantone colors through state-of-the-art photospectrometry, and promises vintage-accurate reproductions of the classic colorways, which have also been extensively matched and compared with a number of era-spanning Fender models.
But enough about the process.
“Let’s get into these colors,” says guitarist Molly Miller, who took the Shell Pink capo – “matching my shell pink Stratocaster” – for a spin.

“These are period perfect vintage shades," Molly continues, “and Kyser was able to accomplish that through their color match process.”
As for the capo itself?
“Its nine-inch radius is perfectly calibrated for most electric guitars,” Molly says. “Another great feature is the quick-change functionality, so you can seamlessly move from one position to the next. It’s so great for those quick transitions that happen often onstage.”
Molly’s verdict? “I’m a fan. I think you will be, too.”
