Black Label Society Skullage CD/DVD Coming April 21
Seven albums deep, Black Label Society has compiled their greatest material into a special one-shot package. On April 21, Eagle Rock Entertainment will unleash the massive greatest hits CD/DVD Skullage ($24.98; the individual 115 minute DVD ($14.98) and individual CD ($13.98) will also be available separately).
The career retrospective Skullage CD portion includes a cross-section of the most brutal BLS tracks, including "13 Years of Grief," "Doomsday Jesus," and "New Religion." The DVD is a mash-up of material, with various live sets (including acoustic versions of "The Blessed Hellride," "Spoke in the Wheel," and "Stillborn") and some of the most visually innovative BLS music videos. Spend time with Zakk as he shares his memories of "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, explains the motivation behind his most well known songs, and displays his treasure trove of axes. You get what you expect with Zakk – pranks and antics abound as we visit his home, hang with him and meet his dogs.
BLS frontman Zakk Wylde has spent the last twenty years establishing himself as not only a guitar icon, but also a rather prolific songwriter. Studying at the alter of Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, and Randy Rhoads, Wylde is now revered by the latest wave of metal guitarists.
The band will embark on the Black Label Bash tour on March 6. With the help of guitarist Nick "Evil Twin" Catanese, drummer Craig "Louisiana Lightning" Nunenmacher and bassist John "JD" DeServio, this will make for one rough, pummeling ride.
