B.C. Rich Announces Chuck Schuldiner Tribute Stealth Model Guitars
B.C. Rich officially has announced that they will be releasing the Chuck Schuldiner Tribute Stealth guitar as a standard model and also in Handcrafted Custom Shop form.
Charles Michael "Chuck" Schuldiner (May 13, 1967, Long Island, New York – December 13, 2001) was an American singer, songwriter, guitarist and genre innovator. As the singer, rhythm / lead guitar player, and main songwriter of the band Death (which he founded in 1983 as Mantas), music biographers have referred to Schuldiner as "The Father of Death Metal."
If guitars are a reflection of their owners, the Stealth that Chuck specified for himself is a perfect example. The Schuldiner Stealth is all business. Upon a close inspection it is clear the careful combination of each simple part makes this guitar a compilation of outstanding features that true players require. Both Handcrafted and standard Tribute models feature neck through construction, alder bodies, ebony fretboards and a single Dimarzio X2N pickup to reproduce the same tones that was easily identifiable as "Chuck's" tone.
B.C. Rich Product Director Rock Clouser said, "We designed the Chuck Schuldiner Tribute Stealth with great care. We wanted a guitar that can proudly represent Chuck's legacy and his indelible mark on guitarists and the Death Metal genre. Although Chuck owned many B.C. Rich guitars, this black, single pickup Stealth was probably the most recognize B.C. Rich that Chuck played. We're very excited to offer the Tribute Stealth as well as a handcrafted version. Chuck was a great person as well as guitarist and we're very proud to be a part of his legacy and to assist his family while doing so."
The Tribute will be available late summer. Orders are currently being accepted for the Handcrafted Tribute Stealth with some limited immediate availability. A portion of the proceeds of each instrument goes directly to the family of Chuck Schuldiner.
