Teja Gerken is a guitarist, journalist, educator, and video producer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to co-founding the roots music learning website Peghead Nation in 2014, he held the position of gear editor and senior editor at Acoustic Guitar for more than 15 years. He also has written extensively for Fretboard Journal, Guitar Player, Premier Guitar and InTune, as well as Germany's Gitarre & Bass and Akustik Gitarre magazines. He has contributed to several books, and his writing-related travels have taken him to every major guitar manufacturer dozens of luthiers in the U.S. and several abroad.
