Knotfest returns to Australia in 2025 with Slipknot, A Day To Remember, Polaris and more
The festival will hit Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney starting February 2025, and the full line-up is here.
Slipknot will headline the Australian leg of Knotfest when the festival returns in February, alongside heavyhitters Babymetal, Polaris, Slaughter To Prevail and A Day To Remember, among others. The tour will stop in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, with pre-sales going live on Monday, October 21.
As promised earlier this year, attendees of the 2024 tour will have priority access to early-bird tickets, starting from 9am AEDT on Monday. At 10am AEDT, Knotfest Premium Members will have their turn, while at 11am AEDT those who signed up for Early Bird tickets in advance will be allowed to buy tickets. For the rest of us, general on-sale starts at 3pm AEDT on Wednesday, October 23. There are also "exclusive VIP packages" which include a backstage tour and side-of-stage viewing.

Slipknot's headline slot is part of the group's 25th Anniversary Tour, which is billed as "a unique set drawing heavily from their 1999 debut". Guitarist Jim Root told us in August that he's been dusting off older guitars for the tour. "I have these guitars that I used back around the time we were playing on and touring the first album," he said. "I still have a few lying around that I haven’t gotten rid of. It’s fun to do since we’re kind of doing this throwback thing, so I said, ‘I might bring some of these guitars with me.’”
The 2025 Knotfest will also see the return of the Knotfest museum, which is described as "an immersive exhibit from throughout Slipknot storied history complete with instruments, memorabilia, wardrobe and personal never seen before items."
No sideshows have been announced, but if the 2024 Knotfest is any indication, we'll see a few pop up early next year. In the meantime, tickets will be available at knotfest.com/pages/australia.
